JEAN-AMEDEE WEBER (1877 - 1966) earned his MD from the University of Nancy, defended June 11, 1903 (publication offered here). The following year he was appointed professor of anatomy at the University, moving to the faculty of medicine in Algiers in 1908, where he was appointed chair of the department of anatomy until he moved to the University of Geneva in 1917, where he remained for the remainder of his career. He specialized in the embryology and histology of the nervous system, and was nominated to the National Academy of Medicine.
