In childhood, where disease of the lower tract is common, a definitive procedure which can be made available almost universally is particularly important. Dr. Burrows describes a simple technique in detail and illustrates many of the variations of normal which may be encountered. Standards of abnormal patterns are demonstrated and supported by cystoscopic observations. A clinical correlation is made. This field is still in its infancy and there is much to be learned. However from the standpoint of the practicing Pediatrician or Radiologist, this monograph should provide a good handbook for routine work. At the Children's Hospital, Denver, the series from which the cases were taken now numbers over 4,000 and the criteria outlined are still found to be valid.
