The first one of these booklets was published in 1947 with others following over the years. This one, however, is from 1972 and is only number six. The only fault here is sunning to spine which you can see easily in the first photo. The booklet measures 6" x 9" and has 47 pages. Contents include articles about the Underground Railroad in the area; David Connor, cigar store owner, and police officer; Alfred Raffensperger who lived in Clark County in 1837 and was the only Democratic sheriff ever elected there; mayors of Springfield, Ohio; an account of Springfield, Ohio by Charles H. Pierce; and Clifton M. Nichols, newspaperman.
