The lllustrated Still Glides the Stream

This book is a cup of tea and memories by the fire. Every time I see it in great condition I buy it because it charms me. The first edition of it came out in 1948, followed by another one in 1984 and then here in 1992. This one may be later, but it's a beauty -- the art is exquisite. The author based it on her childhood in the English countryside. Here the main character is Miss Charity Finch, a retired school teacher, who returned to her home village where she could relive her childhood memories. The book measures 7-1/2" x 10-1/4 and has 224 pages. No names or writing, no bumps to boards, no defects at all. The jacket is in a brand new mylar cover. Would make a nice gift. (spec ed rm ]
