Book sells itself as "being a series of essays on The Bel Canto in 1923, The Gramophone and the Singer (1924-1934) ; Reviews of New Classical Vocal Recordings (1925-21934) and other writitngs from The Gramophpone whoich was the name of a periodical which was created by a British novelist names Compton Mackenzie, but in the first issue there was a call for the writings of Herman Klein. The also offers a biographical sketch by William R. Moran. Illustrated with portraits oif musical personages. The book measures 9" x 12" and has 618 pages including index. The book is very clean as is the dustjacket, no names or writing, and no tears or chips. There are a couple defects-- flat creases to lower corners of boards, but not on the dustjacket. There's also a tiny hole at the back cover near the spine. Looks most handsome in the nice mylar cover that came with it.
