Merrill is an American poet, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the National Book Award, and the Bollingen Prize. This poem, Peter, is presented in three parts -- Tattoos; Bad Trip; Future Apples Inc; The First-Born; and Fidelio From the Met.
