As you can see, the cover shows dampstain, but fortunately it appears much less on the blue endpapers inside the catalog. I might have passed it by if I didn't know how hard it can be to find these old school catalogs which are interesting and also helpful with family genealogy. There is also some foxing on the photo fold-out at the front and at the back of the book -- anywhere that the paper is coated. The bulk of the catalog is NOT on coated paper though, so it is showing no foxing. This school is still in operation and traces its beginnings to the 19th century. The catalog provides the names of the Board of trustees, the calendar of school events, school history, the courses offered and what is expected of students, and a summation of available scholarships and how to get one. There's also a roster of boys from freshmen through seniors. The catalog measures 6-1/2"x9-1/2" and is tightly bound with 62 pages. Also of interest is a letter inside to a Roland Leighton of Cleveland from a competing school, Bridgeton Academy, of Bridgton, Maine hoping to get him to enroll there.
