96 pages. The lovely and uncommon story ". of an Indian baby and his early childhood days. Told in in such a way as to be read by first-grade children. Readers will acquire a knowledge of Indian traditions, religion, and culture, and a better understanding of the people whom the European explorers found in North America." - from Introduction. Wonderful bright colour illustrations upon each page. Above-average wear. Former school library copy with usual markings inside but none to exterior. Although well-worn, this remains a decent copy of this delightful work. (Incidentally, this book would probably be banned from today's politically-correct schools as its external artwork includes what later became better-know as swastikas at each end of spine and in lower right corner of front board.)
