Illustrated informational and instructional brochure for the new method of artificial respiration-mouth-to-mouth rescue breathing-recommended by the American Medical Association, the American Red Cross, and the National Safety Council circa late 1950s to early 1960s. Aetna published and distributed this brochure for organizations and events to promote greater public safety. Printed for this distribution is an announcement for the Houston National Boat and Sport Show 1961, but the brochure could date a bit earlier. One side is informational about the technique, while the other side displays thumbnail photos with each of the nine steps to follow for the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation procedure. Clean with a faint smudge at one of the folds and a slight trace of edge wear.
