A clean, tight copy published circa 1983. No date is indicated, but the jacket write-up states it's been 80 years since this story was serialized in 1903 in Little Folks. The author portrays family life at the turn of the century on the Welsh border. The "Hermitage" is a house on the edge of a "moss," home to nine children.
