Light edge wear to the dust jacket with a few short tears. Protected now in a Mylar archival sleeve. 170 pages plus a Notes section that contains information about each of the works and their authors. Nineteen stories selected representing eight countries, translated to English. Favorites such as Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood are included with the not-so-familiar titles such as The Little Golden Fish [Russian] and Fanta-Ghiro [Italian]. Czech artist Mirko Hank provides sixty beautiful full-color illustrations, including endpaper art, to accompany the selection of stories. Scarce in the First American Edition. OCLC locates no copies from this publisher.
