Small amount of moisture stain, very faint, at the bottom gutter of the booklet, otherwise a clean copy. Untitled booklet, uncredited author, but we went with the director of the state department that published the booklet, as she is listed on the rear cover. The subject is clear, though - The Louisiana State Capitol Building, the construction of which was overseen by Senator Huey P. Long, pictured on the first page with a brief history of his life, cut short by an assassin's bullet in 1935. The governor at the time of publication, Earl Long (brother of Huey), is pictured inside the front cover. This offers a clue about the publication date, but Earl Long served three nonconsecutive terms, 1939-1940, 1948-1952, and 1956-1960. The automobiles seen in a few of the photos that illustrate the booklet seem to indicate the 1948-1952 era. So circa 1950 for a publication date. After the tribute to Huey P. Long, the remainder of the booklet relates design and decorative details of the State Capitol. Eight pages, black and white photos, color cover photo.
