If you've found this listing, you probably can read this book -- as I, alas, cannot. The author's later novel, "Notre-Dame des dspares," was awarded the Grand Prix by the Acadmie franaise in 1960 and was translated into English (as "The Unforsaken"), apparently the only one of his works to receive that treatment.
