Pocahontas and the Elders: A Folkpiece in Four Acts

Geddes, a native of Nebraska, was a poet and critic as well as a playwright; he spent some time in Paris in the 1920s, and after returning to the U.S. was very active in the American theatre scene, including a stint as co-director of the Federal Theater Project's experimental section. His best-known work as a playwright is probably "Native Ground" (a 3-play cycle), written in 1932 but most notably produced in New York by the WPA's Federal Theatre Project in 1937.
