[nice tight clean copy, minor shelfwear only; jacket shows just a bit of wear at spine extremities, diagonal scrape mark at upper right corner of front panel]. "A (Sexy) Novel," featuring (it sez here) "the most memorable teenager since Holden Caulfield." The author, the jacket blurb claims, "has succeeded in recapturing the joys, fears and lusts of a young man and his attempts at understanding love, sex and life." The author, then a 24-year-old Harvard Medical School student, doesn't appear to have pursued a literary life (this was his only published novel), but he did go on to a career in medicine, and (somehow appropriate to the theme of this book) has authored or co-authored a number of volumes on the subject of adolescent health and medicine -- including one with the wonderful title "Getting Your Kids to Say 'No' in the '90s When You Said 'Yes' in the '60s."
