(price-clipped) [book is moderately shelfworn, minor bumping and slight fraying at extremities; jacket is scuffed and heavily edgeworn, with numerous small tears and shallow chips]. (B&W photographs) A nice nuts-and-bolts look at the behind-the-scenes activities involved in the production of Hollywood films, illustrated with off-camera photos -- which unless otherwise credited were the work of Roman Freulich, a leading Hollywood still photographer who was employed at Universal Pictures from the mid-1920s until the mid-1940s. (Author Hoadley was also a Universal man, having worked his way up to being a publicity man.)
