[solid copy, modest wear to extremities, light dust-soiling and age-toning to edges of text block, one-time owner's ink Christmas notation at top of front endpaper; the jacket is edgeworn, with various tiny edge-tears, bits of paper loss at most corners, age-browning and surface-scraping to the spine panel (including a couple of tiny puncture-wounds), some internal tape repairs/reinforcements]. (8 B&W film stills) Photoplay edition issued in conjunction with the 1925 silent comedy film, starring Charles Ray, about a musically-inclined mama's boy whose adventures fighting land speculators along the Mexico-U.S. border cause him to man up. It was touted on the jacket as "a Thos. H. Ince production," although by the time the film was released (in March 1925) Ince had been dead for about five months.
