[very slight edgewear to covers, small note "dup" written inside the letter "O" in the title]. (B&W photographs, graphics) An un-numbered "preview edition" of this short-lived magazine whose stated approach was to "look into Hollywood's recent past on both the big screen and the small; a recent past that has proven mroe influential in which we see today than productions from forty or fifty years ago." About one-third of the issue is devoted to various aspects of JURASSIC PARK (especially its special effects, and including an interview with Michael Crichton, author of the book on which the film was based). Also: "Gene Roddenberry's The Questor Tapes: The Unfulfilled Promise"; "'1941 Will Go On Forever': Steven Spielberg and The Aesthetics of Disaster"; "Star Trek: Generations: Launching the Next Generation on Film" (described in the editorial as "undoubtedly the most indepth production piece ever presented on the making of that film"; at 19 pages, it's the longest piece in this 64-page publication); an article about the production of the rat horror movie WILLARD; a review of STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT; an article on the making of STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, plus an interview with Khan him (Ricardo Montalban). The magazine seems to have ceased publication after only a year or so.
