Autobiography of the actress/writer/producer who made a career out of playing the matriarch of America's favorite Jewish family, the Goldbergs, first on radio (1929-1946), then on Broadway (in 1948, as "Me and Molly"), early TV (1949-1951), and in a single feature film, THE GOLDBERGS (1951). She created the original show and wrote all its episodes (more than 5,000, according to Wikipedia), sometimes (as with this book) in collaboration with her son Cherney Berg.
