From the limitation page - ' This Large Paper Edition, printed on a specially made rag paper, is limited to two hundred and seventy-five copies, of which this is No. 159.' Kenneth Grahame is most noted as being the author of 'The Wind in the Willows'. The illustrator, Ernest Shepard, also illustrated the 'Winnie the Pooh' books and 'Wind in the Willows'. Grey, marbled boards with gilt title on vellum spine. Top edge gilt. Rough cut on fore-edge. 29 illustrations. Spine is slightly darkened, lightly foxed endpapers, tiny bump on top front corner, otherwise no defects. This book has barely been open, binding is still tight, several pages remain uncut. A very scarce and completely lovely collectible.
