This book was awarded first prize in the National Poetry Contest of the National League of American Pen Women in 1934. The original bookstore brochure and order form is laid-in. It is inscribed: 'To You- Greetings from Florida, Alma A. Wiley'. The beautiful endpapers are notated in pencil with names of the poetry pieces in this collection. On the two blank pages after the table of contents, an unpublished poem is handwritten and signed by Alma A. Wiley, titled 'Spring in St. Petersburg'.
