Bookplate inside front cover identifies the book as a gift of the Bahai National Library Placement Committee. Occasional underlining. Originally written in 1934, this revised edition was published by Baha'i publisher, George Ronald, in 1948 as part of its goal of making Baha'i literature more widely available. George Townshend (1876-1957) was born in Ireland and was a well known writer, clergyman before his conversion to the Bah' Faith in which he became a "Hand of the Cause." In 1947 at the age of 70, he renounced his orders to the Anglican Church and devoted the last ten years of his life to promoting the Baha'i faith through his writing. Last page says: "[copyright symbol] George Townshend 1957." 163 pages.
