No publication dates are given in this volume, but a catalog bound in is dated 1940. The protagonist is Fleur Lorraine, a worker in the film department of a movie studio who longs to become an actress. Pasted-in label of Gamblin's Lending Library(Sussex, N.B.) , an ink stamp of Canadian Y.M.C.A. , and "43" on the spine. There is no other writing or damage. 192 pp. plus catalog of Hutchinson and Associated Companies (Autumn, 1940).
