Original red cloth on boards. DJ lightly wrinkled along head. No writing except the letter "e" has been added to "Carol" in the poet's printed inscription on the back of the Contents page. This appears to be the genuine First Printing, which caused quite a stir in its early days, setting sales records and suggesting comparison with Rod McKuen.
