Red cloth on boards. Speedwritimg uses only the letters of the English alphabet, together with a few basic punctuation characters. It can be written by hand or machine. Part I of the Dictionary gives a Synopsis, or Principles. Part II gives individual words. Part III gives popular phrases. The Dictionary has 334 pp. Book I of the Home Study Course is missing, but contains "How to study the course,", Lesson One, Review Letters, and Summary of Principles. Book II gives Lesson Eleven, Review Letters, and Summary of Principles. Book III gives Lesson Twenty-one, Review Letters, "As it was in the Beginning" (in code), and Summary of Principles. Book IV contains Lesson Thirty-one, "As it was in the Beginning (continued), and Summary of Principles. Book V contains Lesson Forty-one, Business Letters, and Summary of Principles. Book VI contains Lesson Fifty-one, "Acres of Diamonds"(in code), and Summary of Principles. Each of the five Lesson Books has approx. 40 pp. and matches the red cloth cover of the Dictionary. There are no marks in the set. Book IV and Book V have a small nick, or snag on the spine.
