Cartoons published during the last year in the Chronicle-Herald and Mail-Star. Chambers was born in Wolfville, N.S., in 1905. He sold his first cartoon to the Halifax Chronicle in 1923, and went off to New York where he enrolled in art classes and worked at Fables Pictures, where he illustrated Aesop's Fables. After two years with Terrytoons and illustrating book covers he returned to the Chronicle in 1932, only to be fired after the Liberals won the 1933 Provincial election. So, back to New York for six months until rehired at the Chronicle. He jumped to the rival Halifax Herald for better pay. The two papers merged in 1949. He retired in 1976 and died in 1996. Book is clean and sound. 72 pp.
