Richardson's Second Case, A Tale of Scotland Yard

Original black cloth over boards with red lettering and decoration. Previous owner's name (twice) and bookshop stamp, as well as a date stamp (Jan. 21, 1939). Front hinge broken after FFEP. Cloth of back cover slightly wrinkled. The author was a former Assistant Commissioner at New Scotland Yard, and according to the foreword, "one of the greatest living authorities" on it. A wallet, an escaped parrot, a missing Canadian, and a murdered housemaid all figure in this mystery.
