Soft cover children's picture book illustrated by Canadian artist, Molly Lamb Bobak. "Born in Vancouver, Molly Lamb Bobak's career as an artist was launched during World War II as an official war artist, the first woman to be given that title. Posted around the country and then overseas, she recorded the day-to-day, ordinary activities of the Canadian Women's Army Corps" (from her artist profile at Gallery 78). Her husband, Bruno Bobak, was also an artist. They lived in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The cover is a colour watercolour of a family on the beach. Inside, the story and the illustrations are printed in blue ink. The author, Frances Itani, is an Ontario native who has lived all over the world and has written ten books, as well as stories, poetry, essays, reviews and radio drama. Unpaginated - approx. 32 pages.
