Bishop Black and His Preachers

Original beige card covers with black and white illustration of Bishop Black on front, and black lettering. Cover somewhat soiled. Ink marks on back cover. Minor marks and one note in ink inside. This is the story of Maritime Methodism from its beginning to the Union of 1874. The author was a minister who, after his retirement, became Archivist for the Maritime Conference of the United Church of Canada. One of the appendices contains detailed biographical notes of the ministers. The first edition of this book was published in 1974. Scarce.
