Original dark green cloth with Art Nouveau peacock feather decoration in black and gilt, and gilt lettering. Top edge gilt. Minor corner wear and edgewear at top and bottom of spine. Previous owner's names, the latest of which was Saint John teacher and poet, Kay Smith (who wrote "The Bright Particulars"). Front hinge broken with webbing showing through. Rear hinge cracked at pg. 340 (Volume 2). Two spots along top edge of back cover. Top edges of pgs. 301-321 (Volume 2) have small horizontal creases not affecting text. This book will be shipped with insurance, so expect a request for extra postage. Scarce. Volume 1 has 357 pp, while Volume 2 has 342 pp.
