Original salmon card covers with illustration of angels with swords, and black lettering. Book says "Second Edition" on spine, but "Fourth Edition" on title page. Corners of front cover creased, and corners of back cover missing. Hand-soiled. Previous owner's name. This book was written in response to author Arthur Machen's claim in his book, "The Bowmen", that the stories of the angels at Mons came from his books. Begbie asserts that British soldiers in France saw the angels before Machen's books were written. 126 pp.
