The organization was founded by Margaret Polson Murray in 1900. Mrs. Murray was a Scottish immigrant to Canada. The IODE's purpose was to "promote loyalty to King and Country and to forward every good work for the betterment of their country and people." Scarce. 141 pp. with Index.
