Original navy and maroon pictorial paper covered boards, with gold lettering. Minor wear to corners and small blemish along bottom edge of back cover the only flaws. The artist/author worked on the PEI Railway as a youth, and had no training as an artist. However, in later years, he went on to become a professional painter. His grandson, John Brown, inherited the original sketches, and wished to share the accomplishments of his Acadian grandfather with the general public. 134 pp.
