Original grey pictorial large format softcover featuring colour photo of Lismer painting of warships on cover and white lettering. Minor creasing on front cover. Water damage to bottom right corner of book (corners of pages slightly wrinkled - no odour). The artist was the Principal of the Victoria School of Art and Design in Halifax (now NSCAD University) when these paintings were created. When he resigned from there in 1919, he moved to Toronto to serve as Vice-Principal at the Ontario College of Art. It was there that he helped found the Group of Seven. This is the exhibition catalogue of a travelling show that appeared in all four Maritime provinces in 1982-83. Scarce. 68 pp.
