Originally published in 1879 in Aunt Judy's Magazine, it was republished in book form in 1883.; 7" - 9" Tall; 47 pages; Jackanapes is the story of a young lad - Theodore - from an English village, Goose Green. It relates the story of the village as Jackanapes grows up. Accompanied by his faithful friend Tony, Jackanapes gets into all sorts of adventures and then they join the Army. Jackanapes dies saving Tony on the battlefield and is honored by the whole village.
