Book is square and binding is neither torn not parted. However, this book was printed on the cheap, supposedly from the same plates as the 1938 edition. The pages have toning, especially on the edges and there is light wear to edges, corners and surface with an old diagonal crease on the front lower right corner. See scan. The book is G+. While this copy is undated, there is a gift inscription on ffep dated 1945 which is the year of the 4th Printing (by Obelisk) and which was Gray with black titles in cream-colored squares. This book is often misidentified as the second printing from 1938 because it confusingly lists that date under information about Tropic of Cancer. (This stuff is hard to explain clearly, but this is the 4th printing from 1945.); 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 269 pages
