Golden tan cloth over boards with gilt titles and brown floral decoration. Some edge and corner wear but still square and securely bound. The last 100 pages have a small dark stain at the top of each page, sometimes very small some times a little larger but at most an inch long and a quarter inch deep, affecting only the top of the top margin. Without this stain, I would grade the book VG. This is a solid and attractive copy. One of Craddock's books about the people of the Southern Appalachians, probably set on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. Craddock was the pen name of Mary Noailles Murfree. ; B&W Illustrations; 12mo 7" - 7" tall; 360 + ads pages
