Still square and securely bound, an attractive copy. ; Musical Notation and B&W Photograph; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 47 pages; Jerry Smith was a yodeling singer who specialized in Western Swing. He appeared on radio from Des Moines, Iowa on the WHO Barn Dance which was broadcast nationwide. In 1940 he appeared in three Western Movies, as a singer. The movies were: West of Pinto Basin, The Kid from Santa Fe and Covered Wagon Trails. While Smith was well-known on the radio in the 30's and 40's, he recorded only for small midwestern labels. This songbook contains 20 songs with words and music along with guitar, ukulele and banjo chords.
