Bound in gilt-bordered white cloth with some light foxing/toning -- typical of this edition. Otherwise the book has only light wear. Square and securely bound. The brown, linen dustjacket with gilt titles on spine has some light wear at extremities but is still in quite remarkable condition. This was the first illustrated trade edition, there also being a large-paper, limited edition in vellum.
