Purple-toned background with image of Paul "Huckle-Buck" Williams. This copy has only very light wear and aging. Paul Williams played tenor saxophone and led his own band. With The Huckle-Buck in 1949 he gained a hit, a nickname, and a style. His performances pre-figured the honking saxophone sound of early rock and the physical gyrations of many later players. This appears to be the earliest edition of this sheet music since Williams had his hit with the song in 1949. ; Photograph of Paul Williams; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 4 pages; sold ABE 10.30.18
