Prisoners' Inventions

This is a fascinating little book. Published by Whitewals, a non-profit member of the Illinois Arts Alliance, it is a compilation of inventions devised by prisoners, I suppose in the IL prison system , to improve the quality of life in a cell. The author's name is Angelo - he also supplied the drawings. He mentions other inmates, so I don't know if all these are his inventions. The editors specifically note that there is no drug paraphernalia or weapons. Obviously, had he made these , Angelo would not have included them in the book. Some of the inventions maybe very dangerous, such as those involving electricity . The pictures include a property locker organizer, a clothesline and a dice table. A very interesting book - I can see a college student getting some use out of this! ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 119 pages
