Bound in marbleized paper, quarterbound with leather , ribbed spine. The first edition set is in G+ condition, with a few pages and one of the bookplates loose and some damage to the marbleized endpapers in Vol. 2. Jeaffreson's other works include A Book About Lawyers, A Book About Doctors and A Book About Clergy. An interesting feature is that each volume has the bookplate of Alfred Henry Lewis, and American investigative journalist, short story writer and novelist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
