1952 was near the start of the great backyard BBQ era and this litttle plastic comb bound book in a matching cardboard box supplied not only recipes by menus, party planning tips, and how to construct a huge concrete block BBQ pit- we han one very much like it in my family's back yard when I was growing up - it was built in 1953! While Richard Rosen is credited as the chef, his wife Ruth was actually the trained chef and cooking writer in the family and you can't help but think she had a heavy hand in the book - except maybe for the pit instructions. Both the book and box are VG+ with only minor shelf wear and maybe a faint BBQ sauce stain on the fron of the book. ; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 142 pages
