This is a first edition with MCMIX on the title page, missing the dust jacket. It was the last story Twain published during his life and had been previously published in Harper's Magazine in December 1907 and January 1908. The red boards feature an illustration of Stormfield on his spaceship and there is the frontispiece illustration by Albert Levering with tissue guard.
