Red cloth boards are bumped and worn at the corners and head and foot of spine, but black titles are still dark. The front pastedown and fep have crayon scribbles on the, the ffep has a tear at the bottom. Except for light foxing, interior is clean and tight. The book is printed on cheap paper. On the ffep is the inscription: Grace McMillian from Aunt Jennie, Aug. 19, 1949. (There are light crayon marks over inscription but inscription is clearly readable through these marks. ) I assume that Aunt jennie is the author. The book is a romance about a quarter-breed Cherokee girl at a mission school in the mountains of North Georgia in 1853. I am unaware of missionaries to the Cherokee in North Georgia after the Removal. This is a novel. ; Small 8vo 7" - 8" tall; 293 pages; Signed by Author
