Light soiling of boards. ; Green decorative cloth covered boards with gilt titles front & spine and a colour plate by Conrad Leigh on front board. A tight solid book, inner hinges intact, 4 colour plates by various authors (including frontispiece) and numerous B&W illustration throughout. The pages are of a heavy stock, book is almost 2 inches thick. ; B&W and Colour Illustrations; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 232 pages; The book is undated but from the illustrations, the book appears to be late 1920's. Thirty-five stories and essays by various authors and a 'book-length' story 'Darry the Dauntless' by Dorothea Moore. The authors include E.E. Cowper, May Wynne, Ethel Talbot, H.J. Shepstone.
