A large migration of Mennonite brethren and other German speaking people took place in 1874-1888 from southern Russia to the USA". From there, small groups branched out. One of these small groups ended up in Woodrow Saskatchewan on the Canadian Prairies and while the congregation of the Woodrow Gospel Chapel remains small it still thrives. The families and the ministries are a large part of the interest in this history.
