These mid-century magazines about toy trains always remind me of Lionels circling a lit Christmas tree with little kids in pjs watching in wonder. But of course toy trains didn't just belong to kids and still don't. To pout together a great layout requires vision, knowledge and patience. I've never seen this particular magazine, but it's great fun if you love the subject. Articles cover trains of yesteryear, types of structures and how to use them, the construction of Centerville Cutoff, the birth of 342, reader lay-out designs, toy train travelogues, automatic crossing gates, tools and how to use them, trick with three rail trackage, and even more. The magazine is in pristine condition. It measures 8"x11" and has 66 pages.
