If you want to read up on the sport of curling this is an excellent booklet by an author who was recognized as THE expert on the subject back in the day. He first introduced his booklet in 1943 and went back to press every year up to 1949. It skipped a year, but then one came out in 1951. The next was this one -- revised in 1958. This is no fluff piece -- it's packed with concrete info -- 108 pages replete with black and white photographs, technical drawings and fold-outs. It was also the first text on curling ever published. In these pages you will find info on techniques, the rules of the game, competition and even facts about ice making, maintenance and artificial ice equipment. Booklet measures 6"x" and is clea and tightly bound. Faults include a name written vey lightly in pencil on the upper front corner of cover (almost invisible, and very minor foxing to first and last pages as is usual with foxing (see photo of title page. There's also a small crease to lower front corner which includes all the pages. Overall very good. Ships in the U.S. for $2. OVERSEAS ORDERS WELCOME, but please contact us with item and destination so we can provide nm actual cost.
