A Higbee History From Designer Labels to Casino Tables

Very handsome book printed on quality paper with many black and white photographs. The pictures and text together conjure the elegance of the old department stores -- the scent of perfume, the excitement of lunch at the Silver Grille, and of course Christmas. I grew up with the Akron stores which were wonderful too, but Higbee's was a rare treat. There's a lot to read here-- 144 pages. I know -- it's not a booklet if it goes over 100 pages, but I couldn't resist. Sadly, the Higbee store became a casino.
